I should start this post with my grattiude for teachers and school administrators. A few months back it became very apparent that I couldn't homeschool. I am simply not cut out for it. Genevieve and I fought more than we learned, so we called a truce and moved on. I am so glad that Genevieve can go to school and get the instruction she needs to learn and grow...from someone else. God bless teachers. Genevieve has been ready for school to start for months and August was a LONG month for all of us. On the first day she was excited and focused on the full day ahead of her - so focused that she didn't look back once when she lined up for the bus. I had to yell her name three times before she turned back, and then she gave me a look that said, " What ?!" No tears, no fear, just pure excitement.
