Cards and Photos on Mothers Day

Best part of Mother's Day?  Receiving these handmade cards from my kids.  Holidays seem to be better with kids around, because you can't not be excited with all their enthusiasm.  Genevieve began working on her cards a few weeks before Mother's Day.  Whenever I caught her coloring or writing on the cards, she would shoo me away and tell me she was working on a surprise.  Emory's cards were blank, with the exception of Genevieve's few words, which I don't take personally.  He shows his love differently. Genevieve's going-ons

I love this girl who continually reminds me what true empathy is, who teaches me the art of being creative, and that loves to explore and learn.  I am so lucky that I have my Genevieve.

Growing pains

capturing the moment

I'd like to think that my camera misses me as much as I miss it.  The light was gorgeous on Sunday evening and rather than let the opportunity pass, I ran inside and grabbed my camera and 50mm lens.     I am indeed thankful to my camera for helping me caputre the beauty of a fabulous evening.               And, here I am at 31 weeks along.  (This shot courtesy of MacKenzie's creativity.)  I sure have a lot of roundness going on, all over the place!
