Best part of Mother's Day? Receiving these handmade cards from my kids. Holidays seem to be better with kids around, because you can't not be excited with all their enthusiasm. Genevieve began working on her cards a few weeks before Mother's Day. Whenever I caught her coloring or writing on the cards, she would shoo me away and tell me she was working on a surprise. Emory's cards were blank, with the exception of Genevieve's few words, which I don't take personally. He shows his love differently. "I love you very much. Your efforts make my fears go away.
