PHOTO A DAY CHALLENGE - TAKE II First, may I admit, that it is much harder to keep up with this challenge this time around.  I don't know if it's the heat keeping me indoors or the lack of motivation or the desire to do anything that makes my kids happy (they don't love me toting my camera around all the time...surprise surprise).  There, now the pressure should be gone, and maybe I can get on top of this... 12.  TINY PARTS I had no idea how many tiny parts come with one doll set.  Genevieve has many doll sets.  They were never a real issue until Emory discovered how to push Genevieve's buttons (and mine for that matter).  Genevieve will be playing alone, quite content, when Emory seizes the opportunity to barge in and dump all the tiny parts.  Genevieve commences screaming, Emory commences scattering, and I commence hiding.  If I ignore them, they have to figure things out on their own...right? 13.  GIANT PARTS Someday it would be...

June in Review

Wow.  I'm not sure where June went, let alone May.  We have had a very busy month.  I got to see my friend Sylvia and her beautiful children who were in town, all the way from Rabat, Morocco.  It is great to have friends live in far away places, because then I can live vicariously through them.  I do miss Sylvia and Kurt.  They are some fun "free thinkers."  I also miss stopping in on them with a pizza and watching Seinfeld together.  Okay, maybe that only happened once?  But it is a good memory.  I hope they enjoy their next post, more than the last... (Pictured - Wendy, Blake, Alisha, Emory, Audrey, Gavin, Sylvia, Erin and Bailey) The kids and I ventured over to a construction site to explore the big machines.  Emory wanted to climb up and sit on the machines SOOO badly, but I wouldn't let him.  I already felt like we were trespassing on the site and didn't want to get caught trespassing on the giant equipme...

Photos of the Day - Mack Truck

I didn't realize how accustomed I had become to seeing this truck parked near my home, but when it was gone today, I missed it.  When it appeared on the street I knew I wanted to take photos of it.  I was afraid I'd miss my opportunity, so I carried my camera with me for a solid week trying to catch this tractor in good light.  Something about the truck reminds me of a play toy, perhaps the vivid colors or antique appearance. I do know that if I found this Mack Truck at the toy store I would buy it for my little boy and also one for Mack-ie.
