"Dreaming My Dreams" happened to be the song playing when Eric asked me to marry him. I really like that song from the album No Need to Argue. I think the song fit us then and still fits us today.

Have you seen the new Prius commercials? I love it. Something about the movement, the music, and the kids dressed up in nature really appeals to me. The marketing works because I sure want to buy a new Prius. I have a bone to pick with the individual who came up with " Self Checkouts ." I can understand the convenience of them, IF you have like one item or IF you don't want to stand in line or IF you don't have kids. Just as Genevieve and I approached the checkouts at IKEA the only cashier left us to our demise - the self checkout lines. I was ticked. Mostly because I had been carrying Genevieve around, under my arm and not on my hip mind you, for the past 30 minutes just trying to finish. So you can imagine that the last thing I wanted to do was check myself out. (Please imagine with me: One wriggling toddler under one arm - check, One irritated mom grabbing one item at a time out of the cart and fumbling around with the scanner - check, No cashier willing to help...

Has anyone else noticed how low the price of gas has been lately? I only paid $28.00 to fill the escape last week. The price of gas is something I am grateful for, because it is sure getting cold to be walking to the library, grocery store or friends'. Now I don't feel as bad on my 3-5 minute drives. I'm appreciate this break in the rising cost of gas, even it it is temporary. Genevieve may always toss food, spill cups, and make messes when she eats. But, hey, my floor has never been cleaner. I've never been a big mopper, sweeping I can handle, but I only drage out the mop lets say periodically. However, with all the stickiness on the floor I mop it frequently which IS more than periodically. I've had the opportunity to work out a few mornings a week at a local Rec Center. I am impressed with how many elderly individuals are there every morning lifting weights, walking the treadmill, or swimming. Sometimes I wonder if it is just a hangout spot for them when they ...
